USDT escrow on Tron for ad-account deals

Updated 15 October 2026

A guarantor in a chat holds your money and asks you to trust them. Ads.Deals does not hold the money at all: the USDT waits in a public smart contract whose rules nobody, the platform included, can change for a single deal.

Where the money is

The buyer sends USDT (TRC-20) to the address shown in the deal, and from there it goes into the escrow contract on Tron. The contracts are public and their source code is verified on Tronscan: deals and resale chains. Anyone can read the rules they enforce.

The contract can only pay the seller's payout address, refund the buyer's address, or split between the two. There is no function that sends money held for a deal anywhere else.

Two of three

Three parties can confirm an outcome: the buyer, the seller and the platform. Money moves when two of them confirm the same thing — pay the seller, refund the buyer, or split. In a normal deal the buyer and the seller agree, and the platform never votes; in practice its vote is used only to decide a dispute.

Deadlines instead of goodwill

  • After the handover, silence pays the seller: if the buyer says nothing, the money goes to the seller when the checking time ends — one day, or three days for deals from 1,000 USDT.
  • If the seller never marks the handover, the buyer gets everything back after twice that time, with no fee.
  • The last-resort safeguard: if a dispute still has no decision 90 days after the checking time, the money returns to the buyer.

Disputes

Either side can open a dispute while the money is in escrow, and that stops the automatic payout while it is open. First the two sides get time to settle it themselves, then both are asked for evidence, and only then a person at the platform decides. Silence is recorded and shown to the arbiter; it does not win the case by itself.

What to check before confirming, and what to record for a dispute, is in the acceptance checklist.

Fees and network costs

The commission is taken only when a deal completes: 3% with a minimum of 15 USDT for deals up to 10,000 USDT, then 1.8%, 1%, 0.5% and 0.2% for larger amounts. A refund to the buyer is free.

The buyer needs no TRX: the platform pays the Tron network fees for the payment, both confirmations and disputes.

Questions

Can the platform take the money?

No. The contract pays only the seller's payout address, the buyer's refund address, or both in a split. The commission is taken only from a completed payment.

Which network and token?

USDT on Tron, the TRC-20 token. Other networks are not accepted.

Do I need my own crypto wallet?

You need a wallet or an exchange account to send USDT, and a Tron address for payouts or refunds. The deal's signing key is created for you in the app.
